If I Had a Pineapple Cutter

I enjoy a good pineapple from time to time and if I had a pineapple cutter, I would make several things by cutting my own pineapple. First, I would core the pineapple with the cutter and remove the shell. I would take some of it and cut into cubes then refrigerate them for a sweet snack. I of course would make a pineapple upside down cake as my mother made me for my birthdays growing up. I could cut slices to put on my ham. I could put in the blender to make my own pineapple ice cream topping. I could make sweet and sour sauce for chicken or pork meals. I would use some of the pineapple and its juice to make a smoothie or put some chunks on a stirrer and it to a glass of Sangria. I do not care for fruitcake but if I did, I would use it for that too.

Pineapple is quite versatile when cooking and having a pineapple cutter would allow one to prepare meals they may avoid because they do not have the right tool in the kitchen. These are a few things I could use pineapple for, if I only had a pineapple cutter.

The Importance of Rice Cooker

Rice is a source of energy for Malaysians. In other words, Malaysians need it to continue living. To cook rice, we need a rice cooker. Since the rice cooker is of so much importance to us, thus we must choose the best rice cooker for our family. Recently, my mother plans to buy a new rice cooker to replace the old one which is going to break soon. She searches through the internet, reading reviews about rice cookers. She wants to buy one which is of good quality and also at a reasonable price. This is because the previous one that we have is really difficult to use and it is broken just after a few months we purchase it. There are a lot of rice cooker reviews in the internet and it gives subtle information on rice cookers. My mom obtained a lot of information and till now she hasn’t decide on which brand and model to buy yet.

Our Lttle Lady is Officially Eating Solids

My daughter just turned six months old last week, so we decided to start her on solids. We picked sweet potatoes for her first big girl food. My wife got a baby food processor at her shower, so we won’t need to buy baby food. Since she only eats a little at a time, we are able to get several servings out of each potato. My wife came up with idea of putting the leftovers into an ice cube tray and freezing them. Then, when it’s time to feed her, we just pop one out, defrost it with some water and she’s ready to go. So far, she’s doing pretty good. It’s been messy, but she’s eating more than she’s wearing on her bib! We read that it’s best to only introduce one new food at at time. If she continues to do well with the sweet potatoes, we’ll start her on avocados next week.
