The panic attacks are difficult to predict although there are some which are triggered by patient’s worry of having another attack. The medical field has not reached a clear conclusion on panic disorder in the sense that there are some who treat anxiety and panic disorder separately while others consider them to be the same. Panic attacks could be unexpected, situational or predisposed.
Panic attacks may last for a few minutes to a few hours. The most common symptoms of a panic disorder are rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, a feeling of imminent death, trembling, sweating, chest pain, numbness, nausea and a sense of altered reality. The sign that emerges to be frequent to all citizens diagnosed with panic disorder is needed to escape from the situation proving the attack. Doctors have however not been able to identify the sources of panic disorder.
